WHO I WORK WITH
You don't have to figure this out alone.
Aging brings questions no one fully prepares you for — and decisions that deserve a thoughtful, experienced partner.
Adult Children of Aging Parents
When a parent needs more support, that responsibility can be daunting. I help you understand your options.
Spousal Caregivers Navigating Change
Caring for a spouse is one of the most demanding roles there is. I provide a space to think clearly and plan intentionally.
Solo Agers Planning For The Future
Aging without a built-in support network requires intentional planning. I help solo agers build their own roadmap.
MY APPROACH
Honest. Unhurried. Personal.
"Every family is different. Every person is different. My role isn't to hand you a checklist — it's to sit with you inside the complexity of your situation and help you find the path forward that's right for you."
I work exclusively in focused, one-on-one consultations. No group sessions or generic handouts — only real conversation, tailored entirely to your situation.

For more than 25 years, Kathryn Freda has worked at the intersection of gerontology, dementia care, and family support — accompanying over a thousand older adults and their loved ones through consequential chapters of their lives.
In 2002, she founded Sage Solutions,
a private care management practice in Connecticut that grew into one of the most respected organizations of its kind in the country. She sold the practice in 2024.
Kathryn founded Kathryn Freda Consulting to return to what she loves most: sitting with individuals and families in the complexity of aging and helping them find their way through it.
Her work draws on deep clinical training,
a background in mediation, and a lifelong commitment to whole-person, dignity-centered care.
She is based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and works with clients remotely.
